Good movie... up until the end where they drop reality and revert to fairy tale world.
The director/writer I guess was trying to make a valid point, but didn't have the guts to risk offending people, so they cow-towed to popular demand. Typical of Hollywood.

Agree with you. Good movie.
Tend to feel that all sides were given in the movie plot and the movie goer could, on their own, decide which way was right for them after the movie was over.
My personal view is that, for whatever reason, the message of the Bible, the message of Christianity has changed the lives of a few persons in major ways.
Some call it the power of faith or belief or imagination to change lives.
People have been put in jail or died for trying to read the Bible, preach the Bible, even for translating the Bible into English.

Does that mean the Bible is true?
In my view, the answer is no since there is a lot of evidence that persons who do not believe in the Bible but believe in other sacred writings have also died for their religion which was not Christianity.
Examples:
Masada, Israel
Joseph Smith, Mormonism
Buddhists in Tibet
and so on (a very, very, very long list).
Some people will die for their beliefs even when those beliefs are not linked to the Bible but some other holy book or sacred text.
