Very likely so.

Money is the basis of the political machine, and while grass roots candidates can go places, you've yet to see them dominate any major political game field.

You hear incorrectly. AIPAC can sometimes do a lot of damage to a candidate they don't like, but they aren't the only powerful lobby.

Well, you do have the AIPAC, but consider that Israel is one of the most reliable "pro-West" nations in the Middle East. That alone gets our support.

Don't the 300 million americans think it's weird that 4 million of them tell the White House how to act in the Middle East?

They're one of the only "pro-West" nations because the others all hate the US for blindly supporting Israel. It's a flawed model based on a faulty assumption.

I'm ever amused that so many people, with so much land, hate so few people with so little territory for no other reason than they are different.

I always thought it was cool how the first few multipliers of 9 all add up to 9. 9x9 = 81 and 8+1 = 9.
