That analogy of the pie is entirely right except it is targeted the exact wrong way. The money goes to large corporations, insurance companies, and banks. The pie analogy especially works great with the banks and this whole home lending/foreclosure fiasco.

Actually it goes more like this. The bank takes someone's pie and and promises not to eat it, but then it gives it to someone else who eats it. Then the bank doesn't have any pie left so the government must take pie from you and give it to the bank so the bank can fulfill it's promise not to eat all it's pie. Or something like that.
