Which people-groups are currently allowed to be hated?

For all the cries of this or that against people who make rash generalizations, many seem to often commit such themselves. Yesterday, it was based upon one set of criteria that certain people were allowed to be hated, and now it has merely transferred to others.

im not sure why uv put racists or homophobes in inverted bunny ears.

Because there is no and never was racism and homophobia, thus there are no racists and homophobes, they don't exist, they are just made up lies by the liberal bastards.

And I vote for this thread to be allowed to be the most hated.

All should be allowed to be hated and anyone should be free to hate you back. Your poll is rigged to try and create a policy that would dictate what emotions people are allowed to feel.

Man, you forgot a real huge chunk of the hating spectrum here.

The general rule is about hating what you think you understand but in fact, you don't.

Sorry, you are not allowed to feel that way.

I think you mean a group that can safely be targeted so that you will not be chastised for doing so.

I do not hate mysogynists, racists, homophobes, Christians (some, not all), etc. I find them pathetic heaps of junk.

Is a person "allowed" to hate LGBT? I know of many who find this group offensive (for whatever reason) but to push this hate from the realm of the individual to the forming of a group dedicated to fighting against them (Homophobes) is is useless. Strength in numbers? Those who hate together love together? Why pick on Gays? African Americans? Jews? Muslims? These are ordinary folk just trying to make a living, to survive, like the rest of us slobs. Oh, and AS as well.

Groups who advocate violence are what must not exist, who bully and maim, who deny the rights of others to carry on with their ordinary lives.

I'm actually not interested in hating anyone. This thread is about what is now socially acceptable in the wake of that which once was, also wrongly, socially acceptable in the past.

So, silence them all by whatever means necessary? For the "greater good"© of course, those who would propose violence and oppression must be violently subdued.

I feel it is my right to like or dislike any person or group that I want.

Imagine that I don't agree with (say) Nudists.

I will feel free to say so and make jokes about them, however I will not attack them or stop them doing their own thing on their own private property.

But I will be REALLY ticked off if they start demanding "quotas" in university or job hiring, or if they demand that "Nudism" be taught in schools.

Nobody hates scientists that I know of personally. Especially if they profess political and religious views which align with any individual asked whether or not they hate them. Example: I respect Dr. Jonathan Sarfati, PhD Physical Chemistry, however I don't really care for Dr Richard Dawkins or PZ Myers. Scientists are beloved, especially in this era, it's just whether they are aligned with the same views as an individual as to whether that individual has disrespect or respect for them.

My guess is because they've lost much of their integrity as words because of their overuse in stigmatizing people and organizations with whom certain people disagree. A few other such words would be terrorist and socialist, just to provide balance in pointing out ideologically driven hyperbole.

Apparently, it appears to be ok to hate white, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant, heterosexual males, because they are seen as "oppressors".

Thanks, Tim, for opening this up to what I think is going on here in this thread.

Hate is a strong emotion, capable of being spread like a plague. Since I am white, I can sort of evesdrop on some fringe groups and see what they are saying. I have also heard individuals ranting about hatred of certain minorities. Such people sound upset and may be doing this because of their own fear about something, but it comes out as hate that could be lifted from a klan meeting and Mein Kampf.

Such persons may be just ranting, but some others are clearly going viral, and want to start something. They see strength in numbers and figure they can spread the news and get others to agree with their fear mongering simplistic agenda. This is not restricted to the Wasps that Tim spoke of. I have also heard Asians, African Americans, Poles, Jews and Muslims rant like this. Such nuttering is not confined to Wasps, though such hate has traditionally been attributed to thems, because of historical events associated with the KKK, Crusades, and such. As I mentioned in my earlier post, groups formed by hate and violence are what need to be eradicated, but not by what I-parakeet suggested. Education, understanding, and communication are what can be the beginning of eradication of hate. In hard economic times scapegating is easier. There are poor white people who need a hand, as do poor people of colour, women, and challenged persons. All disadvantaged persons need help. I think if people do ask, and are persistant, they will get the help they need. I suggested this to a member here(he is white Aspie) who keeps writing about how homeless he is. I suggested he complain, do a demonstration--the squeaky wheel gets the grease. He must ask for help and not just rant here, though this is a start.

This Aspie, however, is still at the rant stage. He has not finished ranting yet. Perhaps when he does, he will get up, and continue on to get the help he needs and deserves. It is not hopeless, but does take some work, constructive work, not the destructiveness of hate.

In the news we have seen how hard work and co-operation can rescue 33 miners trapped 69 days undergound.


The cycle of hate has to stop. It is counterproductive, and does not work.
