You know, one thing that has'nt been pointed out sufficently on this board is the moral contradictions of the bible. How can a good god allow so much suffering?? Why does he outlaw the eating of shrimp?? BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, how do Hermaphrodites fit into the equation??
If a hemaphrodite marries both a man and a woman, is that technicaly polygamy?? I don't think so since each partner is only using one set of genitals. If the husband wanted some back-door action and the wife wanted to munch some carpet though, THAT would be infidelity!! !! !

Seriously, Why does'nt emp just come out and admit that he wants to bash christianity?? I posted one thread (The Arrogant Christian Comment Thread) bashing christianity. I clearly labeled it as such and did'nt use any pre-tense as to what I was doing.
For those of us who were raised as christians and became Agnostic/Athiests, bashing christianity is a legitimate activity. We had religion forced down our throats and we have the right to vent our feelings about that. It's very therapudic to so.

That having been said, can we move on to another subject here??

...Because bringing it up again is definitely going to make it stop, right?

Really I should inject more stuff about Squiggy into these things. As I've said, when the discussion about religion is a farce, it should have farce religions.

I'll have to do that when this thread gets filled with more Christian Bashing.

Yeah, definately fill it with comments about Squigy, but I'm not intending for this to be a christianity bashing thread. I'm trying to bash the habitual bashers that absolutely won't stop no matter what!! !

When I was at college this religious group was working hard on me and my
roommate(we were both agnostic chemistry majors) via a third person who
was a very religious chemistry student we knew. To make our friend happy
(or was it free food?) we went to a few meetings. The part that made me mad
was it was not enough for us to go through some motions and act like we
accepted their message. The guest spreaker told the crowd "your not with the
spirit unless your dancing and singing" . I'm sure I have his quote very wrong.
But the point is the same. Me and my roommate were just standing still while
the rest were moving and saying things.
If I had to do it again I would have said " I feel the spirit in me" put my arms in
the air , say " yeah I feel the spirit of atheism running up my veins my brothers"
My roommate later became very confused and dropped out of college. Funny I
later became roommates with the very religious person. He was a nice person but
I never went to another religious meeting and he never bothered me about it.
I try to avoid the issue of religion in life. I would likely lie and say I was religious
so I would not offend someone(I guess thats non-aspie like).

Religion in this world is definitely not a dead horse. It is still very much alive and kicking; very prevalent and influential. It is going to take at least a hundred years before it is a dead horse.

That's not what he meant. 'Beating a dead horse' is a figure of speech. It means bringing up something long after the issue is over.

EMP demonstrates what I ment. Sure you didn't want it to fill with more bashing, but of course it will fill up. Bring this up in any fashion and we get this crap. He can't control himself. Religion is such an important part of his being, and defines him too much.

Sure he'll probably say something like that it doesn't, but he works so hard, does so much, really religion has become a very crucial part of his life!

And EMP. Your insistance that their is no god is laughable. How can you say this when evidence of Squiggy is everywhere From the tiniest atoms to the great galaxies, Squiggy can be seen. He is in our minds. He is in our lungs.

He is the Sword and the Hammer the Angry Fist and the Slaughtering Comand The plague that kills on and on and on and the killing planned. He'll a sing the final song and destroy all right and wrong.

Absolutely hilarious! Your nonsensical crusade against Christainity is proof enough of Squiggy. What else but the force behind the truth and the chaos it is can explain your actions? It is the only thing that makes any sense. But go ahead and take comfort in the ignorance of the truth. You will not know that your life is a meaningless lie, and that reality is a sick joke with no punch line, and that the Universe and everything in it is so fundementally wrong that it's wrongness comes right back and explains it's existance!

You will be far happier in this ignorant bliss.

There's nothing in emp's post that shows that he doesn't understand the figure of speech, it looks like he simply feels that the issue being brought up is not over. (while scrapheap would like it to be over, inspite of bringing it up again)

WOW!! I never looked at it that way!! You're right!! EMP is defining himself through hate. In which case, all we have to do is ignore EMP'S posts about Christianity untill he figures out who he is. EMP is simply going through a phase. He'll grow out of it!!

You are wrong! Bobert is the truth:
