As an extension to many conflicts in Africa, the Darfuri conflict was an overlapping continuation of other conflicts. With the peace accords signed in 2009, to determin the destiny of one segment South Darfur, to form an independent nation with the rest of South Sudan, or to remain unified with Sudan, but as a autonomous region.

This reminds me of how Quebecers voted a very narrow election to decide the fate of Quebec, to remain as a province of Canada, or an Autonomous province (It's provincial legislative branch meets in the National Assembly, and thier orders of merit are different from the rest of Canada). The Quebecers chose confederation but with a very very slim narrow majority. With Oui ou Non. I once found a 20 Dollar Canadian bill with the Queen's face stamped on it, "Liberte" And a Flure de lis on her face.

So by tomorrow will we see the beginnings of a new country, as we have with Kosovo, and the recognizing of Palistine. Will this inspire the Tibetans? The Manchurians? the Mongolians? Ughiristanis, Okinawans, Aborginals of America the Mosquitias (Mosquito Coast), the Hawaiians?
