1. Refrain from telling supporters that winning the election may require active exercise of their "second amendment" rights.

2. Refrain from suggesting it's time for "armed revolution", even if Thomas Jefferson once kinda sorta suggested that.

3. Refrain from holding political fundraisers focused around use of automatic weapons, especially target practices with initials, name or images of your political opponent.

4. Refrain from telling supporters you want them to be "armed and dangerous."

5. Refrain from making campaign posters with opponent's head in gun sights.

6. Refrain from saying that bullets will work if ballots don't.

7. Suggest that supporters not bring weapons to opponents' political rallies.

What else should be added to the list?

@ sinsboldly

How about refraining from smearing people just cause they don't agree with you, which you are guilty of.

This is why I generally have absolutely no respect for liberals such as yourself, enough with the juvenile antics.

Looks like you've proven his point. You're trying to make him look like a petty little whiner, when he's calling you out on exploiting this tragedy for your political purposes. His expressions of disgust don't seem petty to me. You might think you're a real man by doing that but you actually look real immature resorting to attacks like that.

Aside from the fact it is trash and a blatent attempt to start a flame war and/or smear people for political reasons and exploit a tragedy for your amusement. Seriously, grow up I've seen more mature behavior from 4 year olds.

Actually I'm secure enough in my manhood to not feel the need to flex my e-balls on the internet. As for your post, it's obviously a right wing smear and not the contextual sensitivity encouragement it makes itself out to be.

Personally, I'm going to refrain from limiting my speech because somewhere some madman might take it the wrong way.

(Note to any madmen who may be reading; Joe Arpaio...)

E-ballsy topic

Though I do not blame the run-of-the-mill T-partyers for the mass murders in Tuscon, Arizona, I question the polarized political climate, and I suspect that this is the major problem. The ideas above by SB are a form of criticism of the extreme nature of political thought in the US. This Jared Loughner was not a TP-er but internalized and pathologized and eventually externalized the violence inherent in extreme right wing thinking, coupled with undiagnosed paranoid mental illness and irresponsible gun use. The result is a now historic horror.

The sane have checks and balances that keep em from internalizing to the extent that Jared Loughner did, so I still wouldn't consider the political climate a problem.
