It is easy to prove to yourself that God is imaginary. The evidence is all around you. Here are 50 simple proofs:

I once pondered this problem myself..

Why do people see god.. and the afterlife so differently.. ?

Then in a eureka moment it came to me..

God IS the Imagination!

When I mentioned this idea to a friend.. he told me that William Blake had reached the same conclusion.

--------

“. . . I rest not from my great task!

To open the Eternal Worlds, to open the immortal Eyes

Of Man inwards into the Worlds of Thought,

Into Eternity Ever expanding in the Bosom of God,

The Human Imagination.”

William Blake

of course God is imaginary, you imagine things, concepts and events you have never seen.

Absolutely none of that is proof. It is completely opinion driven, and provides no tangible evidence to the lack of existence of a supreme being. Given there is no evidence for or against such an idea, everyone is able to part ways with their belief.

And is this sense.. we are all creators (or gods).

Creating the world we live in.

----

"They have not known, and they do not understand; In darkness they keep walking about; All the foundations of the earth are made to totter.

I myself have said, 'You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High."

Never mind. I'm not even going to bother with what will just be a flamewar anyways.

how could there be tangible evidence to the lack of a supreme being?

i can understand tangible evidence to support the idea of a supreme being...but tangible evidence to the lack thereof? is that like following instructions in holy books and then observing that there is no divine intervention?

anyways, i think bill hicks is more likely to be right with his views on the issue than christians, muslims, jews, mandeans, wiccans, scientologists*....well you get the point.

*one of the most pitiful groups of mental midgets, by far.

“Today young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slower vibration..

That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively.

There’s no such thing as death.

Life is only a dream.

And you are the imagination of yourself.”

that's the one. :D

edit: and one interesting faith which seems functional is the bahá'í faith. interesting in how it tries to sorta combine everything together. need to read more on it but it's certainly a different approach than most other religions.

Religious totalitarianism is always in favor of censorship.

Everybody's in favour of censorship, but for different reasons.

You're still leaving me out. Why do you conceive you can read everybody's mind? I mean, even amongst aspies, true telepathy is not a verified phenomenon.
