Hypocrisy denial

If someone said they hate people using negative stereotypes, and pigeon-holing, but then does this themself as much as anyone. But somehow its ok, because they believe the right wing sterotype they are pigeon-holing is true, in their opinion. Would this kind of person be a hypocrite?

Yes.
But everyone is a hypocrite at some point in their lives.
It's easier to live by 'do as i say, not as i do.' >.<

I tend to just take the forked part at the back of the hammer to pull out nails

I know, I can admit i've been guilty of it, but if its pointed out that I am, or I work out I have been, then I try to change that.

Hypocrisy is hypocrisy no matter how you paint it and regardless of what side you're on. It's amazing how many people I know try to excuse their own hypocrisy by saying things like "at least I'm honest about it" or "it doesn't matter because I'm right and they're wrong". That still won't make you better than the other side even if you firmly believe that you're on the morally/ethically proper team.

Agreed mostly. But I think it is better if people can admit they might've been a hypocrite themselves, cause we've all been guilty of it at one time or other. There's nothing worse when people are in denial about it, even when its put straight in front of them, and they say what they're doing isn't even hypocritical.
