Not a few PPR posts follow a simple pattern not unlike all the appeals from Africa for help getting lots of money out of the country.

How can this be, when we have safeguards and moderators to identify and filter these spurious posts?

Skim the topic lines of any ten pgd postings, foir one.

Though he is not the only target of my pointing finger,

The frequency and family resemblance is very like the part of my email coming from Mr. Joel Omulayi suggesting I should send my account numbers so he can wire me a few million, giving me a nice commission.

Nothing so sinister Philologos, he has been posting garbage since the day he joined the forum and he used to be even worse. You could check profile and posting history, but if you want a thread to read where this has been discussed before try this one.

NobleCynic is actually correct though. I mean, threads have been made mocking the matter.

Making a quick/brief post with a relatively-intelligent challenge that splatters the initial content on into a fan usually seems to me to discourage/befuddle the naive who might otherwise bump nonsense back to the top of the page.

If it's really bothering you Philologos, why don't you give him a taste of his own medicine. Click on his profile, then click on find all posts by pgd, go to the last page or two and choose a thread with the stupidest title. Then resurrect it to make a stupid comment.

Hey, the forum needs less of that, not more.

pgd does spam a lot, there are a few others that post hundreds of irrelevant threads critising the minutia of The Bible. It's a little annoying, but some of them do lead to interesting debates. Guess there's less spam here than on most forums :?

Take your word for it. My wife flows around and reports some of what she sees - I pretty much stick to WP and one other.

At least we don't have corrupt scumbags for moderators and admins, like some places I could name.

I can agree with you sir. I've always been pleased with moderation at WP.

Yeah I've never had a problem with the moderation. I think the swearing rule is kinda strict, but w/e I'll just simply put stars whenever the censors somehow get bypassed. leejosepho has been doing a great job so far and goes about it in a really mature manner.
