Sure whatever, since I know this is just another hit piece directed towards conservatives I'm going to deconstruct it.

Okay, what is wrong with tradition, changing things just for the sake of change isn't a good idea.

JakobVirgil wrote:
2. the rejection of modernism.

Depends on what you mean is modernism.

JakobVirgil wrote:

3. action for action's sake.

And is anyone on the right advocating for action just for action's sake, nope.

JakobVirgil wrote:

4. disagreement is treason.

That sounds more like Democrats and Liberals than most people on the right.

JakobVirgil wrote:
5. an appeal against the intruders.

Stop pulling the bogus conservatives hate immigrants line. We are against illegal immigration, key word illegal, means they broke the law. If you break the law there are consequences for breaking the law. A country that does not enforce its borders will cease to exist.

JakobVirgil wrote:

Question is why are they frustrated, oh yeah Democrats going on a drunken spending spree that we couldn't afford. Chicago pay-to-play style politics, etc.

JakobVirgil wrote:
7. the obsession with a plot,

I am only concerned about the facts.

JakobVirgil wrote:

8. humiliated by the ostentatious wealth and force of their enemies.

Doesn't fit cause we're ticked about people screwing up the country with insane spending.

JakobVirgil wrote:
9. pacifism is trafficking with the enemy because life is permanent warfare.

JakobVirgil wrote:

I'm not the one saying it is okay to murder babies just cause they have Down Syndrome.

JakobVirgil wrote:

Sure whatever...

JakobVirgil wrote:

To turn that around I would argue the devaluation of human life making it okay to kill children just because they happen to be inconveinent to the woman.

Least I actually know what is going on in the world.

Not directed at you
it was culled from an Italian semiotician talking about local fascism
writing in the nineties not about america and since there was no such thing
not about the teaparty.
he survived the real thing.

It could be argued fascism is actually from the left.

More interestingly fascism could be argued as a centrist position.
an anti-communist anti-internationalist alternative to market liberalism.
third option is often a code word for fascist economics.

It is not leftist or rightist in actuality. But it is from people on the right, and it is generally supported mostly by people on the right. Please stop opening the debate on the nature of Fascism every time it comes up
It is not a real ideology, it is a form of meta-politics that is ultimately designed to sucker everybody into buying into it as a 'centrist' movement bridging gaps. It is not left, right or center, it is an inherently dishonest form of governance. The argument that you raise, that it could be leftist, and that I raise that it is rightist, actually plays in their favor on the other side of the coin, as socialists, nationalists and conservatives are all being courted. But ultimately one need only look at the backers to see what the ideology represents

agreed, fascism is the aestiticization of force. more a fashion statement than an true ideology.
(maybe explains NSBM and nazi skinheads)
but it is a fashion statement that leads to very dark places.
it is inconsistant shifting and anti-rational.
truthiness is more important than truth
myth is more important than reality.
and it does not work as a form of Governance (the trains never ran on time)
I think it is a thing to be watched out for.

Ann Coulter's whole career consisted almost entirely of four and Nine: labeling anyone who lacked enthusiasm for Bush's military adventures as "traitors"- and filling books with vitriol on that theme.

But that was some years ago. You dont have that kind of polarization over the war now since we are now winding down and phasing out and theres a general consensus that we should be winding down and phasing out.

There is a fear of foreigners taking our jobs- both foriegners who stay home and compete through outsourcing and trade, and foreigners who migrate here.
Foreign competition is a real issue and a rational fear in a tight economy, but it can get mixed up with other irrational issues.

There is a nostalgia for the White America of the past because we are now becoming a multiracial society-with no one color being the majority.

One outside group is particularly feared and would make a nice scapegoat for rabble rousers- that being muslims.

So there is definetly xenophobia.

How, and whether, that would be exploited politically in a negative way is hard to say.

1. Keeping wrong traditions just for the sake of tradition is the problem.
3. Funny you assumed it was a jab against your right... But since Fascism is an extreme right , then the technical answer is yes.
4. Palin and tea partiers seem as likely to yell treason as Obama and the liberals are.
5. Illegal intruders.
6. You mean democrat-republican spending spree. The republicans have done nothing to prevent deficit in this administration and their administrations are historically the ones that increase deficit the most.
10-13. Abortion != Killing babies, stop appealing to emotion. Nobody in this forum has said it is ok to do it because they have down specifically.

Sorry, Dubya, no free passes in this forum—even if Obama and team will let you off the hook.
