I would be very surprised if Palin got two votes. Because she might get at least one, and we all know who that is likely going to be.

Specify criteria for "better"

Define "lady" as used in this context.

I have only met one of them, but I think ifg they were to duke it out [as in may the best man win] it would be a close fight. Age might handicap Margaret, though.

This thread reminds me of an old joke the British had about Thatcher. They would say: When we had a king we were a kingdom. When we had an emperor we were an empire. And now that we have Thatcher we're a country.

I wonder if we can come up with one for Palin.

I was purposely emphasizing the "a" part of the word.

That will be entirely up to the voter. For example, who is more erudite, who is more accomplished, who is more intelligent, who is hotter, who is feistier, etc.

I was using the word to signify an individual born with a vagina.

I have no particular love for her - would not voluntarily be in the same room with her - if she were running for office here would be unlikely to vote for her - more strength of character than some pols but that is not an unmixed positive.

Still - when I accidentally and unwittingly met her [took me about a day to connect who the person in blue was] she was actually polite to someone she knew could not be a supporter, where her staff was not and her American equivalents would not have been.

That was also the way with the Brit who tried his best to get me fired - he was so much more civilized about doing me dirt than my fellow Americans.
