Sociology/Gender Studies/Liberal Arts/Political Science......aka stupid courses for average-lazy students... tend to have very liberal professors teaching the subject matter with a liberal slant.

Business/Economics/Hard Science/Engineering/Mathematics........ too busy working on subject material to bother with politics...traditionally LIBERTARIAN heavens(especially engineering and economics )

And yet I can't imagine most scientists voting for the Republicans. I'm planning on going into physics myself and I am quite left-wing.

as an undergraduate I did a survey of bathroom graffiti at the university.

the stuff in the Political science / economics skewed racist swastikas anti-mexican slurs etc. (and responses)
the anthropology building was 100% sexual/scatological.

Thanks for reminding me of my university days

The best piece of graffiti I seen was on in the 2nd floor gents in the science, medicine & engineering library
(It been on the net don't know if still is) near to a toilet roll hold about a rival university.
