Who or what is Howard Stern I should care if I could listen to him? I thought he was one of the elevator music guys?

Anyway, if that be so about Limbaugh, I wish him all the best in his new career path. I will not be dropping into his place of business personally.

Stern does look a little like sax player Kenny G. I think thats who you are thinking of.

Stern was close on the heels of the "grease man" bob tracht in pioneering the genre of radio hosts known as "shock jocks". If you dont know what thats all about then consider yourself lucky, but Stern is probably the biggest radio personalty there is.

If Limbaugh changed his tune (conservative to liberal to whatever and back again) to please the highest bidder THAT would make him a "whore" but if he cant get enough of singing the same tune for endless piles of money then that would make him a "slut" - or maybe its the other way around- I dunno.
Having to think about Limbaugh and sex in the same train of thought is bad enough.

Totally with your last line. Not a natural association.

On the name, my wife knew who he was and I DO know about though I do not listen to shock radio [Limbaugh I HAVE heard a couple times by accident - took me a while to figure who the guy was.

I was thinking about someone more on the lines ofd Mitch Miller or Andre Kostelanetz or the Boston Pops - middle age middle brow middle class light pop for Muzak.

You can still find recordings and transcripts of the pre-syndication limbaugh.

The short explanation was that his message did get changed by the size of his audience.

conservatives have complained for years that hes become a mouthpiece for the republican party(instead of the gadfly who happen to agree with the GOP frequently that he used to be).
Hmmm....... Isaac Stern? Is that the musician Philogos is thinking of?
