In terms of the doctrine itself, opposing setting up a Jewish State without the help of the Moisheach (Messaiah) is not anti-semitism. However anti-zionist rhetoric is used (mostly by the left) as a form of disguised anti-semitism. Many of the anti-zionists are not objecting to Israel for doctrinal reasons concerning the Moisheach, but because they do not like Jews in general.

Just because there are jews who are anti-Zionist doesn't mean anti-Zionist is not anti-Semitic. There are taking a different view in terms of religion.

As a Zionist yes I do think anti-Zionism is anti-Semitic.

But anti-zionist rhetoric can be used to disguise anti-semetic sentiments.

"Anti-Zionism" is arrogant Muslim imbeciles believing that they have a right to force Jewish women to live as second-class citizens under the most extreme possible form of Sharia law. The Muslims in that part of the world are useless rednecks, and I love to hear about their stupid asses being blown up.

I just think Israel is a tiny country in the middle east and for Jews to claim their homeland upsets those who are anti-Semitic.

Theory versus Practice topic

The two terms are NOT synonymous but in practice they are uncomfortably close. All antisemites are by definition AntiZionist, and if you talk long enough with an AntiZionist his/her opinions of Jews in general will rise to the surface like a drowned carcass.

It is actually possible for a pro-zionist to be anti-Jewish. An anti-Jewish bigot might want all the Jews shipped to a country of their own and out of his country.

Theodore Herzl would understand this.

Knowing the difference topic

Legitimate, reasoned criticism of a government is not the same as an all consuming desire to wipe out an entire country and its people. AntiZionists will often speak of eliminating the country of Israel but what is certain that should this happen more dominoes will fall, and other countries will also suffer. Nothing happens in the world in isolation, as there are always repercussions, sadly.

If Palestinians think there wiould be paradise for them there in Palestine should there be no more Israel I think they are more than just deluded. Be careful for what you wish.

What "dominoes" would "fall", and to whom would these dominoes fall?

Which is what the Nazis originally did, prior to moving from expulsion to extermination.
