I'm sure you can all think of a few, ie. just really stupid things, concepts, or ideas seemingly lifted to god-like status. I've always been blown away by just how seriously people take conformity - not just moral conformity but wear the whole hat, drive the right car (or mule), the need for people to be either living stereotypes of something they already have their head around or be essentially exiled from society to flail in quicksand seems like its one of the most doggedly resilient traits humanity has and it seems to take no practice or particular effort at all.

Any others you think come close or pass that even?

"The Classics." Just because it's old doesn't mean it's better.

Job Creators!

"Behold your new god! Mr. Burns!"
"Aside from working for me, you will now worship me, as your Almighty!"
"Amen, sir!"

So epic in the minds of so many that its almost a travesty that I can't hook up the 2001 Space Odessey theme to be plaid along side it on eye contact.

I'm a PC and I approve this message.

The 1984 ad that they ran in 1984 established that image in the eyes of many. Funny how Apple became a "loser" company or a "martyr" company during the mid to late 1990s.
