Just kidding! I feel for them though, one of the first victims of the Islamic conquest. The last thousand years has been referred to as "The Dark Millennium for the Faithful" by them

Why do Zoroastrians seem so angry?

Maybe because the writers of the Bible seem to have "stolen" their idea for the Gospels from their religion.

Link: Zoroaster v. Jesus.

Quote:
Zoroaster was a Persian prophet, though some (perhaps erroneously) refer to him as a god. While some scholars claim he was first worshipped around 1700 B.C., the earliest existing references to Zoroaster come from around 600 B.C. However, almost everything we know about Zoroaster come from texts written over 300 years after Jesus walked the Earth, and the earliest existing copies of these texts are from the 13th century. This creates a serious problem for those claiming Christianity "borrowed" from Zoroastrism, since the evidence suggests that it was the other way around, that the Zoroaster character was changed to become more like Jesus in post-Christian times.

Really? I had no idea

btw I don't actually think they're angry, I've never even met one! This thread was a response to a comment made by kestrel in another thread, and is intended to parody the other two "why are they angry" threads. This is the second time I have used Zoroastrians in this manner actually, as it is a religion I have always found fascinating.

Does anyone else wonder if Zoroaster left evidence of his miracles by leaving a dramatic "Z" inscribed everywhere? :P

Yep. It was in one of those "Behind the Music" type documentaries about him.
