There are a number of good things about Mitt Romney. He is an honorable man of state. However, he is a fallible one, and there are things he does that I feel were misguided, and there are things he believes that I think are misguided, even harmful or downright dumb. That doesn't make him a bad guy. I'm just not going to vote for him: I think the man he is running against has done a fairly good job--certainly better than his predecessor--and I don't see any reason to replace him. I don't see anything so stellar about Mitt Romney that I ought to hold him in special favor.

Leave it to Republicans to start mud-slinging matches, I say. I think Dems ought to have higher style. But don't mind me. I'm just yakking.

Maher has a point. No matter how charities divide and apply the money they raise (I think many of them are indeed a hoax), it makes no sense that charity donations are deductible. If the middle class taxpayer is forced to foot the bill for publicity stunts of billionaires and corporations, how is that charity?

Good question it isn't a charity when it is a publicity stunt for billonaires and corperations. They give to charity to make themselfs and their image look good so people will vote or support them.

He certainly did that when he put his dog in a carrier on top of the station wagon for a 12 hour ride to Canada.
