Diana Mey Has Trouble Collecting From Debt Collectors After $10 Million Settlement

Perhaps Ms. Mey needs a debt collector to facilitate payment of the judgement she was awarded.

But in all seriousness, her attorney should obtain a writ of execution, subpoena an officer of Global AG, LLC (a.k.a. "Reliant Financial Associates") to testify under oath about their assets, and either levy the corporation's bank accounts or seize its property for sheriff's sale. After all, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Jailed for $280: The Return of Debtors Prisons

Quote:
How did breast cancer survivor Lisa Lindsay end up behind bars? She didn't pay a medical bill -- one the Herrin, Ill., teaching assistant was told she didn't owe. "She got a $280 medical bill in error and was told she didn't have to pay it," The Associated Press reports. "But the bill was turned over to a collection agency, and eventually state troopers showed up at her home and took her to jail in handcuffs."

It only goes full circle until they get their chance to collect beef.

Sadly, stories like that one illustrate why everyone should take even a bogus court summons seriously rather than ignoring it and having a default judgement entered against them.

It's only the "little people" who have pay any mind to the law/courts.

Well, not necessarily... You can indeed make the courts work for you. It just requires more effort and sacrifice on your part.

...but seriously. What did those two videos have to do with the cost of tea in China?
