I'm reading a Sam Harris book right now.
I don't agree with everything he says, but I would very much like to know if there is a book or article that counters his arguments from a religious point of view so that I can get input from a different point of view.

Can anyone recommend anything like this?

I should probably mention that I am quite without any faith or religion myself, but Harris puts a lot of responsibility on the "moderate" religious for the state of the world. I'd like to hear from religious people who have read Harris and can form arguments within the same framework. Are there books or articles like this?

Harris has multiple books.

He has The End of Faith, Letter to a Christian Nation, The Moral Landscape, Lying, and Free Will.

I assume you're talking about one of the first 2 on the list. There are some negative responses mentioned on the wikipedia articles for those first two.

Harris has recognized that on balance religion has been a negative for mankind.

If Satan exists, then he, the Evil One, is he that has promoted religion among humans.
