I felt like I saw my memories flashing through my mind in chronologicl order, just snippets or so, maybe 5 or ten seconds at a time. Started from when I was younger (maybe 2 or 3) until it caught up to the present, when I was 6. I suddenly felt like that is the first time I was conscious, and my mom asked me why I was staring at her. Just wandered about this for a while.

There's the running joke about how when you're about to die "your whole life starts passing before you".

Dont know if thats true about folks about to meet their maker. And your still alive and kicking. So I dont know what to make of it.

Sometimes the mind can make a connection... come to an understanding of some greater truth. Sometimes it's only the unconscious mind that has to make this revelation, and then it communicates to the conscious mind the corollaries from that understanding. Like a light being turned on in a dark room, you see the furniture for the first time, it was there along but now all of a sudden you're seeing it. Well, this is more like you turned the red light off and the white light on... lets you see things in a truer sense, and not limited by the limited or errant information you were observing them with before.

Up till the changing of the light, you thought the room had pink walls... now you all of a sudden realize it's a beige on white wallpaper.

You said you were about 6 when it happened? Hrm... was it the day you maybe learned about santa or the easter bunny? or something equally as fundamental?

That's actually true :) This phenomenon is called "living" and can last up to a century.
