I stumble across fascinating speakers sometimes and think this is really one of the best things about YouTube. For some reason this past week I became totally hooked on listening to Richard Dawkins. He seems like someone who champions reason and evidence and I have respect for that.

Before that I listened to Neil Degrasse Tyson who is quite smart and has a sense of humor. In one video a kid in the audience asks Neil what would happen if two Black Holes collided and it was interesting to hear the complex result. Even Neil found that challenging.

As for politics I came across this guy Roberto Unger from Harvard who was in fact President Obama's professor. He can seem like a stuffy law professor as he lectures into the camera at first but I think he has some interesting observations from a progressive point of view.

I'm interested in any other YouTube speakers or maybe good podcasts if you know of any.

Justice: What's the right thing to do?
It's 18 hours of philosophy intro from the excellent Michael Sandel, a harvard uni lecturer
You can watch it on youtube:

Or on academicearth.org which is rather fab because it has thousands of hours of video from world class universities

The Royal Society also has a fantastic list of webcasts

including an excellent lecture on autism research
