Oh my God. That Fox News reporter is as dumb as a brick. She can't understand why a scholar of religion, with several PhD's in the subject matter, would want to write about religion without having some kind of political agenda.

I guess FNC is an abbreviation for Faith 'n Christianity.

Maybe instead of hiring attractive women they should hire ones that can actually read.

Maybe this would help:

I'm buying that book.

I just love how savvy the guy is being interviewed. He clearly knew he was going to be faced with that response and prepared accordingly, and stayed admirably on message. Which I'm sure is why he agreed to appear on FNC in the first place... Fantastic publicity

If a christian were being interviewed about a historical text on, say, hinduism, I can't imagine there'd be any reaction of the sort, which makes this even more cringeworthy.

Seriously, every legitimate scholar should take an oath not to appear on Fox anymore.

Why not make it a right of passage? The inept interviewing does seem to help rather than hurt the interviewee/victim.

On the contrary, I think it's a great opportunity to use their ill-gotten gains to get attention for real scholarship and make their anchors like like the dumba**es they are.

Maybe so. I was thinking it would be more to the detriment of Fox, since they like to pretend they can handle intellectual subjects.
