Role of Religion in creating order in our lives
I'm recently pondering the role of religion in creating order in our lives. I've noted that when I'm feeling there's more chaos in my world, I'm drawn back to religious belief that's very structured (in my case, Roman Catholicism), because of the structure it hangs on my life.
I'm also curious about screwing with that structure - taking advantage of it without actually buying into all the b.s. that's supposed to be taken in with it. I haven't been to a mass for years, and also haven't done any of the things (like confession) I'm "supposed" to do before I go back, but the other day, for example, I went to mass and I did the whole thing just because I enjoyed the experience. And I didn't give a hoot that I was breaking all sorts of church "laws" in doing so as I did.
A way to stim in time with 50 other people?
