The standard design for the region of Cascadia(WA,OR, and BC):

Image

I personally think this one below is a better design though as the standard one looks too much like the flag of Sierra Leone. :P

That has gottq be the dumbest map of the divided US I've ever seen. HISPANIA??? :lmao: who came up with that? Also, cali is claimed by mexicanos as part of their "Aztlan" expansionist state along with the southwest.

You gave Quebec too much territory, if it ever seceded it would look more like this:

Quebec secession looks like a lost cause though at this point anyway

California is very much connected culturally and politically to the American Southwest. That's why I wondered why Marshall's map keep it separated from the SW region which Chicano nationalists refer to as "Aztlan". liberals are most white middle to upper-middle class, and contrary to popular belief they too are losing control over California. Remember proposition 8? It passed cuz the mexicanos voted for it. The 2 regions of the modern USA with the strongest separatist inclinations are the Pacific Northwest, and the California-Southwest. The Northwest is economically autonomous, and considerably more liberal(in the Scandinavian way) and thus doesn't share the mainstream amurcan values that the rest of the country does. The California-Southwest is region is land that was once part of Mexico but annexed forcibly by the US in the 19th century. Yet it still has a very large chicano population and is the preferred destination for Mexican illegals who seek to reclaim it.

LOL @ me all you want, but I actually take this idea quite seriously. As who grew up in the PNW and lives here to this day, I consider myself to a Northwesterner first and an American second. The PNW is as distinctive a region as the American South. We DO have our own culture and this isn't something new. But most of all people here don't share the same values that you people in the rest of the country do.

And for those of you who are religious(of the western variety): When God made the Pacific Northwest, he must have been in a good mood.

If you want to fix my map have at it. I thought an hour was enough time to spend on it. Theoretically Canada should probably be divided into a few more secessionist regions considering the large indigenous populations in some regions.

How can a flag be treasonous? Treason is making war against the legal sovereign state or giving aid and comfort to those who do so.

Okay, the liberals and hippies can have the bay area and a section of the Nevada desert (for Burning Man you know). Far northern California should really be annexed as part of Cascadia due to its similar climate and natural beauty.

I know. I lived in Seattle for 4 years. The thing is once you cross over to the east side of the Cascades you're really in dumbhickistan again. Also, places away from Puget Sound in Western Washington may vote for Democrats by a slim margin but they are culturally much more conservative.

Yes. The natural beauty is amazing. The mountains create a lot of very distinct climate zones.

Washington east of the cascades is politically powerless and irrelevant TBH. If you live there, you better be "self-reliant". And their vote against independence won't be enough to counter that of people west of the cascades.

As far as the hippies of California, well, most of them now live in rural areas because they really don't make enough money to afford San Francisco. The point being that you overestimate their population and political clout in the state of California. I visit Cali annually to see family and it's really changing. How so? Every year it becomes more and more Chicano as white liberals in Cali have a very low birth rate(yeah, even the hippies). Talk of splitting California has been going on for decades but it ain't gonna happen. So those white hippie liberals in NorCal will one day have to get used to living under Mexican rule. You'd be surprised Marshall, Chicanos in Cali are moving northwards.

As for NEVADA, well, that is a red state and also has a big Chicano population. and the Burning Man city is ephemeral. They'll just have to make do with visiting.

Yea, TBH Seattle is also pretty expensive. Both Seattle and the SF bay area have more tech yuppies than hippies. If you want to live a low-rent bohemian lifestyle Portland is the place to go. Tech yuppies are generally liberal as compared to true yuppies, but there are some who lean more libertarian.
