Eh, I think a lot of us would just go back to how we started posting when we first came to PPR, which was the more long form and source heavy type of debate. After so many two line brush offs and detailed replies to people who clearly aren't serious, not to mention endless games of "whack-a-source" a lot of us have given up on the more intellectually rigorous styles of posting in favor of more snark and rhetoric. Now whether going back would be in improvement to the forum is debatable, as the looser style is definitely more fun for the most part, and *usually* helps keep things relatively light.
