...would be politicians, wouldn't you think? So many decisions affect so many people, that in turn affect people from the future etc.

If one of them, centuries ago, didn't take that extra sip of coffee in the morning, thus having no energy to decide to vote yes or no on a motion (and does the opposite)... could I have not been born at all?

No need to read beyond page 2. The very first sentence in the article "Consider organized anarchies" says it all.

And I work in central government, so I can vouch for its validity. Politics is scary business 8O.
