First I want to say just how devastated I feel about this terrible tragedy.
I can't begin to imagine the pain and grief the parents are experiencing.
My heart aches for them.
It's sickening and extremely depressing how someone could commit such a senseless, horrific crime.

According to a family friend, Adam was the more outgoing of the two brothers. So, hopefully, this points towards him NOT being on the spectrum.

The only thing I wonder is what the h pushed this guy over the edge? Good Lord, it's almost Christmas and he pulls this? You have to wonder what was it.

His mom (who was probably his original target) wasn't even AT the school. He drove over there just to shoot kindergarteners. Have any of you been around a bunch of kindergarteners lately? They're practically babies. It just boggles my mind that anyone could shoot little babies waiting for Santa Claus.

^^^^^^True, that's when my nephew was diagnosed. He became violent and paranoid,he shot his dad's truck about 50 times and tried to kill his brother. He hung himself in the forensic unit at the State Hospital.Once he was just an average little boy,no one had any idea what would become of him in the future. It's very possible that if he was running loose that he could have done something terrible.
But the majority of schizophrenic people are harmless, more likely to be victims. They really don't need anymore stigma heaped on them.

As my boyfriend put it, "The headline thanks to the news media, and therefore the national conversation, has been and will be 'Some Autistic shot up a school full of kids'."

Fan-fucking-tastic.

Waiting for the other shoe to drop...
Why is it every time an active shooter situation occurs, the Newsbots instantly begin speculating that the perpetrator is a person on the spectrum, a loner, part of a "dark subculture" and likes the color black (or camo). At least wait until the evidence presents itself before making such claims.

Because it sells advertising.

In this case...all ring true. Don't know about the loner part as it's been said this guy is "one of the goths." Something in that statement seems to imply he had at least one friend. You have to ask the tough questions though. Of course, every goth is not like this and most would never, ever do this but how do you reach the one who might before something like this happens. You have to face reality, there are angry, violent people all over the place, goths included, but don't go after everyone because of this one guy.

Now everyone who hears about autism or Asperger's Syndrome will link as or autistic people with psychopaths.

Besides it not the first time I remember once reading about the American astronaut who tried to kill fellow astronaut because she steal her boyfriend.

she also is reportedly defend that suffers from Asperger's Syndrome.

Now everyone look on AS people like on some mad man.

PS. I wonder if Americans are in this situation will continue to defend their beloved Second Amendment.

In my country, the right to bear arms is very restrictive, I was wondering if it is good, but after what I saw what happened in the U.S., I think it's good
