I think there is a Mark Twain quip on how when the Apocalypse arrives he wanted
to be in Kentucky because they are comfortably twenty years behind everyone else!

It's over. Not with a bang or a wimper. Must have been that little dizzy spell I had right around then.

Is anyone disappointed? Surprised? Annoyed that the build-up was for nothing?

Not at all. Whenever the End of The World is announced there are always a few that believe it.

Now, if at some point a large rouge planet becomes visible and the scientists plot its course and it is heading for us, then we are screwed. The only possibility (and it is a slim one) is to deep enough underground. If the collider is massive enough going underground will not help at all, so the only thing to do is face the End calmly.

Yes, that's what I thought just this morning, if NASA warns us of impending doom, I'm likely to believe it. :D

I was a baby for the 2000 and this one I slept through. I'll never get to see the world end. At least after a few days I won't hear much of it.

but I did wish for it to happen today rather than tomorrow and tomorrow rather than later. (signature that does not fit me because I hold things off. Joan of Arc said that because she wanted to start her mission asp.
