It would be much better to dress up as Mohammad to celebrate the 1.5 million dead Middle Easterners, right?
Nah, BBQ hot dogs and pork ribs, serve beer, have a pool party, play music from groups like 5FDP, Metallica, or Toby Keith on the stereo, and have your wife/GF drive on the way home!
Though I guess it's trivial, how did you come up with 1.5 million?
Most sources estimated around 1.1 million in 2007, so simple extrapolation, I'm probably being rather conservative about it considering it's been 5+ years.. You can google it if you like.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_on_Terror#Casualties - first result, because I'm lazy right now, and the exact numbers aren't the point.
You're mad that they're celebrating killing a few thousand Americans, after we've killed so many of them it accounts for ~1/4 of Hitler's death toll.. I really don't understand Americans.
Then again, you're the same guy that's ecstatic about the NRA teaming up with NASCAR..
The US tends to get blamed for those killed by terrorists, sectarian fighting, and the enforcement of sharia law, in addition to all the dead guerrilla fighters that look like civilians. The true number of genuine noncombatants killed by the US in Iraq may be as low as 10,000. Anyone trying to get a remotely accurate number for the casualties in Afghanistan is either an idiot or has an agenda.
Thats pretty normal. If I give an unresponsible person a weapon as a gift, and then there are people killed with that weapon, until I myself get threatened with that weapon and sent the opilice, who have to fight the guy with the weapon I bought him, then I am responsible for all the terror the weapon caused. The terror the terrorist breed, the dead the terrorists created with my weapon, and the deads created when it was necessary that the police take that weapon again from the terrorist, including the innocent victims.
I have no problem with blaming switzerland, iceland or some sheep herding guy on a mountain for selling weapons, with a worth of 650 Mio USD, around the world, if they were responsible for it. But because its the US doing so, its the US that get the blame. (And the profit for deadly conflicts.)

And yes, if I was forced to live under a regime that is supported with weapons from the US, that let my people suffer, until the regime freaks out and the US comes to kick the regime in the ass, causing colleteral damage that lets my people again suffer, then people wont be happy about that at all. Its not about not being happy that at least one regime is gone, but kicking all regimes in the world will not change the origin responsibilities. If someone shoots into my leg, I dont like him. Its ok when he calls the ambulance later and helps me later and all that, but still I will never like that person in my life, because its the idiot who shot into my leg.
