first point: Whats this got to do with politics, philosophy or religion?

Second point: What size of microwave must it take to fit a child?

First response I guess i should have put it in media but i guess it can fit in Darwin Awards category. Second point response im not sure it was a large old fashioned microwave.

I know its tragic but I just have to feel compelled to ask why do people do stuff this foolish? Even when i was a kid I never tried to hide in microwaves thats like a dangerous death trap. Its tragic but bizaar at the same time. Like the time the one kid stuck his head in the sand and died after trying to imitate gaara from Naruto.

children aren't born with the innate sense of danger perception that adults take for granted. So its a little mean to gloat about Darwinism.

Heck I am in my thirties and still don't have a fully developed perception of danger but that is because of the asperger's.

Darwin award? That is cold. Someone had to turn it on after he got in it (if microwaves then were like mine, they don't work unless it is closed).

I dont think it was turned on I think he was stuck and suffocated. but even when I was a kid I had a sense of danger perception. And yeah I might have come off as cold on that im just baffled. There are adults who do stupid stuff like that though like jumping off a cliff with no parachute etc.

Quite, I would imagine that is a particularly painful way to die as well.

Given that someone must've pressed the 'on' button shouldn't there have been a murder investigation?

If it was then the suspect would be the father perhaps? I dont know but it is said the microwave was in the back of a truck.

usually microwaves dont have a handle on the inside door.

How the hell did he manage to get the purchase to close it on himself?

Yeah Ive been wondering the same thing. Unless it was closed from the outside? I take back what I said if I recalled I used to do dangerous stuff as a kid but I was 3 I used to play with black widows and hold them in my hand! But still I didnt climb into closed containers where im likely to suffocate Im slightly claustrophobic. I just find it bazaar more than anything.

They said the microwave was an old one sitting in a door- up position in the back of a pickup so it's safe to assume that it wasn't plugged in and on one turned it on. I seriously doubt it even worked anymore.
You cannot unlatch a microwave from the inside so he was stuck in there and suffocated. At 6 I was of average size and there's no way I could have fit in that microwave.

Seeing as you are 30, you better be entertaining little kids when you play hide and seek.

Id rather have them watch TV or play video games so they dont run off into something dangerous like that! Or keep them supervised I mean most kids aren't stupid but you never know what curiosity might get them into which is why they should be supervised at all times. I used to play hide n seek all the time but i hid in closets and bushes or climbed up trees never in closed containers where im bound to suffocate! But now after watching this if i had kids I would advise them not to play hide n seek unless all suffocating containers are gone etc. i guess Im just being paranoid now though.
