A Catholic private school system has been accused of discriminating against a straight man, who claims they pulled an offer to make him their president over rumours that he is gay.

Regis Catholic Schools group announced on 4 April that Tim Nelson would be its next president, but suddenly retracted the offer three weeks later citing “serious issues”.

Mr Nelson said he was “flabbergasted” by the decision, and claims Regis pulled his job offer based on incorrect assumptions that he is gay.
