It occured to me that this was bundled with the JFK abolishing the fed conspiracy. It stated that he wanted to replace the US mitary with militias (yes, I know not the woodsmen militia of the 90's.). Is this true?

JFK was all about waging the Cold War, and containing Communism on a global scale. I cant imagine him wanting to trade in the US military in for some kind of collection of american local militias.

True, he would probably be considered a neocon today. That is what I thought, but it was inserted into some executive order. It could also be some time of work corps. as well.

Everybody wants to claim JFK, as if he died for our sins or something. I personally think the mob killed him because he was really going after them, trying to break it up. Marilyn Monroe was bedding him, Bobby, AND several mobsters, and the Kennedy patriarch had longstanding mob connections. The gangsters probably viewed the prosecutions as a betrayal. They wanted to show the Kennedys that NOBODY was beyond mafia "justice". They probably killed Bobby too, because he was attorney general under his brother and as such led the mob prosecutions. If he became president, he was gonna kill the mafia once and for all. So no, JFK did not die for our sins, or because he wanted to abolish the FedRes or any other far right fantasy.

It's been 50 years since JFK died. He is as relevant as Arthur Moore (Premier of Queensland), Leonardus G Kortenhorst (Dutch MP), Mohammed ibn al-Chattabi Abd el-Krim (Morocco opposition leader), Rajendra Prasad (First President of India), Lambrakis (Greek EDA-parliament leader), Pope John XXIII, Bernard Freyberg (Governor-General of New Zealand), or any other politician who died the same year.

And why does no one else remember Patrick Kennedy (son of President Kennedy), who died on august 10, 1963, only 3 days after he was born?

Because he doesn't matter either, that's why!

I think the Fidel Castro connection made more sense. JFK tried to invade his country, assassinate him, and saber raddled during the missile crisis. Those, plus the Cuba connection with the assassin makes sense. I have a friend on FB who wrote a book about it, although I question some of his motivation.

Historical people like JFK and others who have passed on matter greatly to me.

The past is history, the future is a mystery, and the present is all that we have.

My opinion, as I stated earlier, is that history is important.

I believe that reinforces my belief on why history is important to study.

Here's my take on JFK and the military:

1: Kennedy wanted to increase the role of "Special Forces" to fight the cold war, by training local forces and using guerilla tactics

2: Kennedy wanted to reduce the paramilitary capabilities of the CIA and scale it down to pure intelligence function. IE, no more secret guerilla armies

3: Also, President Kennedy was sensitive to the threat of nuclear war, and engaged Kruschev, his Soviet equivalent, in a dialogue that infuriated militarist hardliners of both countries.
