You can't plagarize Wikipedia, it's open sourced. Not to mention he never claims these words as his own either.

If you want to play this game, then do you want to talk about Joe Biden? Hilary and Obama have done it as well. Nobody cares.

Sorry to ruin your excitement Panda :(

It was pretty much the official synopsis to a movie. Joe Biden on the other hand plagiarized a speech from a British politician and paper 20 years earlier while in college.

Nobody cares. Does that make you a sad panda?

Rand is indeed a politician, I don't like him as much as I like his father but it is this quality that will make him electable as POTUS. He's still way more honest than any other politician in Washington on either side of the aisle.

Gee the only guy defending personal freedom used the wikipedia....so what?

You really got to suspect these 1984 supporters attacking a "fringe" politician for saying the truth....saying it's not a unique idea. Again, so what what fascist's?

Argue his statements and don't play cheap politics. That does not fly here.

For someone so antifeminist you sure don't like to support the right people to help in changing laws to deal with the massive number of problems they have created?

The default assumption when someone speaks or writes is that the words are original to that person (or to their speechwriter), unless otherwise stated. To cadge from Wikipedia without giving it credit is dishonest.

From Wikipedia, the source of the day:

Quote:
Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "purloining and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions," and the representation of them as one's own original work.[1][2] The idea remains problematic with unclear definitions and unclear rules.[3][4][5] The modern concept of plagiarism as immoral and originality as an ideal emerged in Europe only in the 18th century, particularly with the Romantic movement.
Plagiarism is considered academic dishonesty and a breach of journalistic ethics. It is subject to sanctions like expulsion.
Plagiarism is not a crime per se but in academia and industry it is a serious ethical offense,[6][7] and cases of plagiarism can constitute copyright infringement.

What I find hard to understand is that people will fight tooth and nail to support the enormous number of lies and deceit that people like Obama Joe and Hillary say on a daily basis. Then when one of the most honest politicians we have in a position to make changes that weren't nothing more than orders given to them by corporate interests people they attack them when they make a mistake. Not some major or epic mistake either a mistake that everyone on this site and every other site or any other blog make on a daily basis. Talk s**t when they do something that actually has an effect on people because there is no such thing as a truly honest person in this world.

The role of the 'loyal opposition' is to point out crap like that when the party in power does it. Unfortunately for America, our opposition party has gone so far off the deep end that very few people can take them seriously any more.

Nah..there is no way that either Paul could be elected..as they are too wimpy sounding...

Seriously..that's what gets a person elected full bore on confidence..with charisma...

Obama is pretty thin...but he has a commanding voice...with tons of charisma...

This whimpering stuff without any real charisma..won't ever get someone elected at the highest office...

Jimmy Carter made IT..but yeah..that was a long time ago...

It's just human nature..that is all..people overall will not be led...

by someone viewed as weak...

Something about the libertarian thingy and beta males..

That goes hand in hand too...

But here's the thing..again...

Libertarian ideology is only a philosophy on paper..

It has never worked in any real world political system...

It's a fringe thing...like the potential for real socialism to be workable in the US....

And nah..the reason socialism will not work..is that human beings..are made for the survival of those who end up reproducing...

And nah..that's historically been less the case with the beta male libertarian leaning folks...

And yeah I'm a beta male too at heart...so I know this thing inside and out....

But yeah..I do look like a super hero now..in real life..

Epigenetics...and adaptation...it's pretty cool stuff..if ya know how to use it to your advantage...

Maybe Rand can figure out that part 2...

He's really not too old to do it..

If he had the time and could fully set his mind to it...

That's no joke that's how the jungle works..

Nothing has changed except for clothes..and expensive cars....

Metaphorically speaking...
