My real Father lives in China, he keeps asking me to visit, I will knock eating authentic Chinese food off of my list of reasons to undertake such a journey.

Well, all oil is bad for you. Your body does not need concentrated oil. Whatever oil it needs can be found in the foods you consume without adding anything extra.

I am more interested in what those Chinese gutters contain. That looks like the biggest threat to public health? Do they just put dead animals down there? Why is it people have such easy access to that?

It would seem that China is turning itself into a Libertardian paradise.

Except for the public sidewalks, streets and sewers.

Other than that, the Libertardians will shout "AMEN!"

I'd hate to think of the smell coming from those gutters. Being a liberal means not wanting that, I guess I am one.

As the man-on-the-street says: "All that we have to do is accept it. In our current society, everyone is trying to swindle everyone else."

VERY Libertardian.

I'm confused. Are you saying that guy is a liberal? Sounds more like a fatalist to me.

I REALLY hope the Chinese restaurants in the west aren't using this stuff.

The highlight was the woman at the beginning smiling in glee because she'd managed to dig up some turds.

No, he's somehow trying to draw a comparison between the Libertarian Party and the views of 1/1.36 billionth of the Chinese population.

I normally love Asian food however, there are some places that leave me wondering because their food tastes so funky compared to other Chinese places and they get in trouble with the state health department more than other restaurants. I still love Asian food though. I just make sure I find a restaurant that tastes good and avoid the ones that have a weird, underlying taste to their dishes. Happy House is the worst offender imo.

I am assuming the gutter oil type of oil would be really low quality and it would show up in the way the food tastes. It would leave a slightly rancid taste to the food, similar to what dirty oil that needs to be changed out leaves so if the food has the rancid oil taste, don't eat it. Other restaurants, especially fast food, have it in their french fries at times, It means the restaurant is not doing what it should, keeping things clean enough. Bad sign, generally, and with all the restaurants out there, it's real easy to just switch to a better one. If enough people do that, the bad ones will go out of business.

No-one denies that this will be one of the consequences of Libertarianism.

Looks like, from that video, the Chinese use the same sewers for too many things, including disposal of animal parts. China should definitely ban dead animal disposal, storm and sanitary sewers all in one, that would make taking from the sewer less tempting. Collectors are, most likely, after dead animal parts, the fatty parts, they can sell to be boiled down into oil.

People cannot put dead animals in sewers here they are instructed to do otherwise.
