PETA should get behind this, how do we know the cat doesn't want to serve? ;)

Doesn't a juror have to be of a certain minimum age?

Has the cat reached that age?

Actually, I think this is a great idea. He can be trusted to be impartial. Does a black man have to worry about racism from a white jury? Not when that jury is a cat, because they dislike everyone equally. He's going to be the best juror Boston - neigh, the world - has ever had.

It could be worse.

What if the cat was on trial, and was sentenced to death?

Then they had to plan nine executions...

But alas, when asked if they can haz him for jury duty, his owners declined.

Your honor, I reject juror nine on the grounds that he is licking his duddle-utt.

The highest ranking officer in the Norwegian army is a penguin.

Probably for the best. You don't see penguins giving orders to commit war crimes, or attempting to overthrow the government and make themselves Tyrant 4 Life.

The cat would be best of in the judge's seat, though. Then he can look down disdainfully upon the common people.
