You know Vice President Pence -- the whitest Christianest most racist sexist patriarchist homophobe on the planet? You could almost hear the Newsweek writers squealing with delight when they typed their recent headline, “SIXTH GRADERS HOLD DOWN CLASSMATE, CUT HER DREADLOCKS AT PRIVATE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL WHERE KAREN PENCE TEACHES." Get it? A private school. And even worse, a Christian school. And it's where Mrs. Mike Pence teaches, so you know it's racist too.

Well it turns out, to the Newsweek headline-writers disappointment, the little kid made the whole story up, and her family has apologized. Jussie Smollett and a host of other frauds couldn't be reached for comment.



School says Virginia girl’s story about classmates ambushing her, cutting her hair was a hoax

ANNANDALE, Va. - A 12-year-old Virginia girl’s claim that she’d been held down by three classmates who cut her dreadlocks was a hoax, according to school officials.

The alleged incident was reported at the Immanuel Christian School in the Annandale area last week.

Amari Allen – who is African American – told local media that the haircutting was the culmination of a series of bullying incidents involving the same group of students.

Along with the haircutting, she said the boys took her lunch every day and ate it in front of her.

“We can now confirm that the student who accused three of her classmates of assault has acknowledged that the allegations were false. We’re grateful to the Fairfax County Police Department for their diligent work to investigate these allegations,” Head of School Stephen Danish said in a statement.

The school also included a statement from the child’s family.

"To those young boys and their parents, we sincerely apologize for the pain and anxiety these allegations have caused."

The only correction I would make to the article is that she is not African American, she's simply American. Saying you are something else first, then American leaves you open to statements like "go home." Because YOU have identified yourself as something other than American first, not them.

She's a kid. She should be forgiven. Look what examples the so called 'adults' are setting for her.

Funny, the New York Times seems to agree with you today, when the story was exposed as a fraud, but it certainly didn't agree with you three days ago when the story could be exploited to advance the newspaper's racist narrative.

I wish people would stop faking hate crimes. Has the story "The Boy Who Cried 'Wolf!'" taught anyone nothing?

Do teachers even tell that story to their students any more?

Fake hate crimes ruin it for the people who have to experience actual hate crimes.

My parents and grandparents told me that story. Some childrens TV had that message and variations of it.

It makes people suspicious of if not outright not believe claims by real victims. It validates the significant percentage of the population that believe hate crimes and bigotry in general are overhyped fake news. It is just a tremendous damaging phenomenon.

I hold these people in as much contempt as I do perpetrators of actual hate crimes.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) has promoted at least four racially charged hoaxes or debunked stories on Twitter in 2019 and failed to issue statements retracting or correcting her comments.

The most recent example: the case of Amari Allen, a black 12-year-old girl in Virginia who claimed three white boys in her class pinned her down and cut off her dreadlocks. Allen has since recanted the story, but Tlaib has not issued a correction or deleted her tweet praising Allen as "courageous & strong" and having a "power that threatens their core."

So how exactly is a girl lying about the bullying she was subjected to part of a conspiracy to smear Mrs. Pence?
Kids lie and often do so with little thought about the consequences. Clearly the smear wasn't planned out very well considering she recanted within a few days. Are you insisting Ms. Allen intended to smear Mrs. Pence, or was she put up to it by commies/The Illuminati/whatever boogieman reichwingers are cowering from tonight?
