I think in the first two boxes they mean to say "treated equally" not "equal".

"Do you think men and woman are already equal?" "Yes." "You are not a feminist".

Taken out of context, this flow chart almost seems chauvinistic!

Disadvantaged equally in different ways. Maybe replace "equally" with "no real way of knowing, a good argument could be made for either."

I always thought "feminist" just refers to a gay-guy that likes to act feminine sometimes. :lmao:

I respect feminist views, but I do not identify myself as a feminist.

I know men and women are not equal because men make more money. It's been proven time and time again. Men still make more, on average, than women. Sure there are wealthy women and some of the wealthiest people in the US may be women, this is not what I am talking about. I am talking strictly averages.

I believe men and women should receive comparable salaries so in one family, if the man wants to stay at home and be supported by the woman, the woman makes enough to take care of them all, while if it's the other way around, the man can.

I am all for men staying home if that's what they and their partner chooses. I don't believe only women should do that. It's just not always possible with salary inequality being what it is.

I answered yes to "men and women are already equal," so I guess I'm not.

That was a popular buzzword back in the 1970s. Now, we're patriarchs.

Actually, it comes from the French, Chauvin, to mean someone who is ultra-nationalistic.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolas_Chauvin

In the USA, the term "Chauvinist" came to mean "sexist", as in the popular phrase "male chauvinist pig." I don't know how the meaning got twisted around like that.

ImageMen wanting gender equality are not MRA but feminists claiming to be MRA....problem? MRA?

Don't even get me started on Americans twisting the meaning of English words around.

Anyway, you clearly don't seem to understand these words here so I'll help. Don't be embarrassed: I have a high verbal IQ compared to most autistics, who generally possess low verbal IQs. Chances you you just can't help it.

Chauvinism these days largely refers to the denigration of the opposite sex in some fashion. Misogyny and misandry refer to the dislike, mistrust, or hatred of women/men, respectively. Note, that this means a person can be chauvinistic toward women without being misogynistic, although the two go hand in hand often enough.

A patriarch is the male head of a family, generally. Note that a patriarch and a person who believes in patriarchy are different.

I am in so far that I believe that women are not completely equal. I find that women exercise less influence in the domains of economics and politics as most of the people that occupy parliament are male and most of the people who head corporate businesses are male as well. I also think that women are degraded within the media and are represented, especially within the music industry, as solely sexual beings lacking intellect and insight. As for the whole 'I hate all men' thing, I do not agree with such a generalization but then I do not consider it to be an integral part of feminism to begin with.
