I was watching Watchmojo's video Top 10 Sexiest Music Videos (no surprises there)

In the comments section, you see Feminist statements like
Quote:
How come there weren't any males exposing flesh and being the object of our sexual desires? Oh yeah...because women are the only kind off sex that sells, riiiight. Like I don't care if ya'll breats are hanging out, but the way these women were displayed..it insulted me. Not that a woman havn't got the right to dance sexy and dress sexy, for Gods sake..do what ever the hell you want. But you can't deny that this was sexist as f**k.
These videos pissed me off...Blurred lines nearly made me throw my computer out the window. Has no one heard of RAPE CULTURE? No?

They got the title wrong. It should have been top ten sexist videos of all time. Apparently the only videos that are sexy are fantasies produced for heterosexual male consumption. The sign of a female teen star "maturing" is that she sells out and uses her body to sell crappy, generic music. Then of course there is the rape culture promoting "Blurred Lines." How anyone sees that as more than a man boy fantasizing that he knows what a woman wants better than she does ( "I know you want it" - the stereotypical line guys use just before they rape a girl) is beyond me.
So, are these videos "sexist?'

n.
1. Discrimination based on gender, especially discrimination against women.
2. Attitudes, conditions, or behaviors that promote stereotyping of social roles based on gender.
I don't think that these videos discriminated
against women--indeed, they provided employment for women.
They could, however, be construed as "promoting stereotyping of social roles based on gender": i.e., sexy women cause heterosexual males to experience sexual arousal. Which is how things generally work in real life, anyway.
"Rape Culture" is mentioned. Which must mean that the females in the music videos are Rape Culture sluts, who merit public shaming.
So, what say ye? Are these videos sexist? Are they even sexy? Are the women Rape Culture sluts, and we are naughty for watching them?
