If you are an atheist, you owe it to yourself to watch every second of, "The Only Perfect Truth."

The question concerning the existence and or nature of God (or the gods) is not empirically answerable. In short, the question is bloody nonsense.

Epicurus' statement is flawed; one possible explanation is that it is within God's capability to prevent evil, but by removing from us the ability to choose to do evil, He would render pointless the ability to choose good.

Except of course according to scripture God does intervene so the argument from free will evaporates. Also when you look at his interventions they are often nothing short of evil, sending armies against jerusalem laying waste to the city and having their soldiers rip the unborn from their mothers womb, smashing the skulls of children, all at his bidding. The list of Gods atrocious interventions is fairly long
