I wonder where it comes from these two countries dominate world politics at the beginning of Britain, now the baton took over America. From originates the Anglo-Saxon countries dominate politics. On the other hand, the United Kingdom earlier and the United States now now are definitely better in the role of world policeman, than the Russians or China: D

Britain had to build up a navy to defend itself against attack, whereas the other European countries needed to have armies as well. Our resources were focused on the sea, which helped us build a bigger Empire than France, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal or Germany.

Then America got rich off the back of the slave trade and its abundant natural resources. It is a political powerhouse because it is an economic powerhouse.

Empires, both of us. The US has more than 800 military installations in around 150 countries. Waste of money. Abuse of power. Board game of Risk coming to life before our eyeballs
