To evaluate and give a good verdict try to analyze and assess these parameters:

foreign policy
fiscal policy
monetary policy
domestic social policies
and more if not stated

I'm aware that both presidents are rather hated; bush for the iraq war and obama for NSA scandal. the fact that both are really hated makes this match more interesting

As bad as the NSA scandal was, the fact is, Obama didn't allow Wall Street to almost destroy the American economy while stealing homes out from under people, and he didn't get us involved in two disastrous wars that will never see an end. Plus, Obama only inherited the NSA abuses from his less than intelligent predecessor. So Obama hands down.

It was Bush who had started civil rights violations by means of the intelligence agencies - spying on citizens and other violations of privacy and right to dissent, as well as targeting ethnic and religious minorities by law enforcement. While Obama had expanded illegal surveillance, the tools to do so were only in place because Bush had left them there for him.

Its hard to tell both were sh***y presidents Obama just carried out Bushes agenda and has not truly provided the change he promised so in my opinion it is a draw!

Damn it, I just got notification that this thread no longer exists! This isn't the first time this has happened to me, and not meaning to sound paranoid, but I have to wonder if someone is purposely shutting me out of certain discussions.

Paranoia?

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2 ... l-networks

Quote:
The US military is developing software that will let it secretly manipulate social media sites by using fake online personas to influence internet conversations and spread pro-American propaganda.

A Californian corporation has been awarded a contract with United States Central Command (Centcom), which oversees US armed operations in the Middle East and Central Asia, to develop what is described as an "online persona management service" that will allow one US serviceman or woman to control up to 10 separate identities based all over the world.

Quote:
The Centcom contract stipulates that each fake online persona must have a convincing background, history and supporting details, and that up to 50 US-based controllers should be able to operate false identities from their workstations "without fear of being discovered by sophisticated adversaries".

It's like asking who's better, Stalin or Hitler

the only good thing I can say about either is that they prevented John McCain from being president.

Poorly worded question.
Should read:

Quote:
Which president was worse, Bush or Obama?

Both are pathetic on foreign policy, both infringe on our rights, under Obama however our nation is very racially divided and is probably going to be renamed "The New Mexican States of America" due to the ever increasing influx of illegal immigrants anchored by their children. America is also collapsing socially. Under Bush the latter was not happening as much.
Ditto Raptor's statements, "which one was worse".

I see no problem with most of them,we stole land from them.My family landed here and took land from the Natives, the cycle repeats itself.I suppose the people up north once complained that they were overrun with Italians and Irish.

George W. Bush initiated the Iraq War and his tax cuts are the primary drivers behind the massive US federal deficit. Both of these are policies which will likely have wide-reaching long-term consequences for US domestic and foreign policy.

And with only 2½ years left of his presidency, the 22nd Amendment would basically have to be repealed in order for Obama to have a chance at performing as poorly as George W. Bush.

So I think it is fairly reasonable to assume that history will be much kinder to Barack Obama than to George W. Bush.

None of them were excellent presidents by any means, but both have had to take a lot of blame for the screwups of the congress or for the failures of stuff that's beyond their control.
