Journalist Joke, when Journalist go to far? Fabricated article?

Once a Polish journalist, fabricated article, it was an article published on the web, not the newspaper. This journalist wrote about the untimely death of a Polish teen (19and) Television Actor, the journalist often called him Polish Justin Bieber, the boy has quite a lot of fans, and is not much of an as*hole as the latter.
The journalist called it an artificial starlet, and decided to make a joke of him, wrote about his death in a car accident. The message was quickly picked up by all major Polish national information portals and TV.
Teenage girls from across the Polish had already begun to mourn the death of their favorite actor, later came out that it was pretty tasteless joke a journalist of the local press.
The guy behind the joke was dismissed on disciplinary grounds, and expelled from the Association of Polish Journalists for "Gross lack of professionalism", some said that if he did it on April 1, may be he got away with it.

As another journalist asked him whether I regret what he did, he said he was sorry because he could write an article about the death of President Komorowski (President of the Poland), or the death of Obama, it would be

Yes becuase this not the purpose of journalism.

Of course the are plenty of columnists that aren't journalist. But still this is pretty bellow the belt.
