How can they be allowed to employ this man? http://elitedaily.com/news/world/lipart ... -response/ I don't really care if they have their controversial entertainers there because for people who buy into Glenn Beck, if he goes away, most of them just find another loon to listen to and the next after that... At what point is it enough for an actual doctor, under the guise of his profession, get on air and say the most blatantly false or outrageous things solely for the purpose of getting attention?

I really have taken a dislike to this Ablow and agree with people who said he's going to be imprisoned at some point. If you remember like I did when he had his short lived daytime talk show or his appearances on the Howard Stern show he was this personal self-improvement guy no one would think of as controversial. Frankly he isn't talented enough to be an entertainer on a large scale so whether he would otherwise want to or not, using the doctor persona is his ticket to attention whoring.

First off, I don't know why any news agency would employ any doctor of any stripe. They have no place in journalism aside from offering commentary and opinions. One of the reasons I dont watch news very much is because I could care less about any news agency's opinions. Just give me the news and I'll form my own opinions.

Be allowed to? Is it against the law or something? If they want to have a kook on the payroll that's up to them.

Imprisoned for what, having an opinion people disagree with??

From the article:
Quote:
Last week, media outlets were driven into a frenzy when they discovered @LIPartyStories, a Twitter feed that featured explicit images of teenagers in New York?s Nassau and Suffolk counties partying, drinking and passed out amid mountains of empty beer bottles, in various states of undress, and in a few instances, urinating in sinks.

I won't say underage drinking is a non-issue but it's an issue that is no doubt at least few thousand years old and will still exist at least a few thousand years later. Whoop-dee-doo; why is it even news?

Quote:
The antics are not unique to this generation. Posting images of them to social media, however, is a relatively new phenomenon.

It had to happen. Everything gets posted to social media.

Quote:
I was not surprised to see that commentators were shocked, appalled and otherwise alarmed by the images featured on the Twitter account, which has since been suspended, but Fox News? resident psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow?s response to the story was nothing short of reckless, dangerous and grounds for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology to revoke his license:
Yes, they need to weed out quacks but this is hardly the place I'd start. There are bigger fish to fry than Keith Ablow.

Ablow is a douche completely independent of FNC and so are pretty much every "doctor" or "expert" they have on TV, they're employed as shill entertainers(propaganda mouthpieces)

It is best not to watch any cable or mainstream news, get it from the source and around the web.

Sounds like some of the places I've been to as a teenager. Mountains of beer bottles and urinating in sinks are pretty common sights among the college and university populations. Also, the US has a ridiculously high drinking age.

It's amazing to me that anyone can be fooled by the Fox channel to think it's not there for any other reason than to pull the emotional chains of folks in the listening and seeing audience to keep them brain washed in the corporate headquarter ways of mass produced propaganda.

But on the other hand, I am impervious to attempts from psychopathic leaning individuals to pull my emotional chains that I understand some autistic leaning people are vulnerable to.

I am a watcher and listener; not a talker at core.

But yes a talker too now, as necessitated by losing
effective use of my eyes and ears for 5 long years.

No one gets a 'fast one' by on me, and I do mean no one.

As I fully watch and listen too.

Whenever, and yes I do mean whenever Fox is on and God knows it's always on in the
three hours I spend at my military gym; every look and every tone of voice of all the folks
who work on Fox are the look and vocal tones of an emotional manipulator, using my
full eyes and ears to see this.

There is simply no sincerity there to be found, with my ears and eyes.

But yes, I am an empath too, and can feel the snake oil, sliming on my skin.

For clarity that last sentence was a metaphor, please, not to be taken literally, by the
more squeamish members of the listening audience here.

Yes, when I talk about it, I can feel it too.

But in the military you don't get to ask the gym attendant to turn the corporate led propaganda news channel off.

And that's pretty sad, as they are defending the free world of freedom of expression.

But hypocrisy often rules when more than one human being is in a room.

Particularly when those who are easily led by the psychopathic leaning mind, whether an act like FOX news anchors, or the
real thing in the real world, who wants to hurt you one on one are sitting in the room.

And no I'm not sure there is anyway to prevent this, as this is just the way some human minds seem to work, who can't seem to
fully hear and see, and change their ways of thinking.

Basically, they are too controlled by their emotions, without enough logic and reason, with the true eyes and ears, to control the manipulating strings of puppeteers who move
them, in emotional ways, simply for control!

And sure, most commercialized news shows are this way to some extent; all of money making projects have the core element of controlling the emotions of the audience, by the puppeteers strings!

Otherwise the product will not sell to keep the shows in business.

And yes, it is the way of all of negotiations in life when any reward is the prize as monetary or in social acceptance 'likes'; emotions are always core to change to make the reward a reality in real life; online or off.

I don't play those games; and so the 'punishment' is not many 'Facebook likes' in life; as metaphor too.
But that is okay as my way is truth; not reward.

Fallible? Yes I am.
Worth it? yes I do!

To begin with, TV dulls the mind. I haven't watched a TV for 15 years. I think it's pretty sad that all of you still do. I think that CNN, NPR, PBS, ABC, NBC, and CNN are just as bad as Fox. That's why I read military publications. They're required to be neutral and cut through all of the B.S. So as far as I'm concerned, I think you're all gullible if you believe any of them.

Military publications spew just as much BS propaganda as any news or media outlet. I know one Marine officer who is an "information" man, and I call him a propaganda minister. If you believe that a military publications are sans- BS, you are gullible too.

Not only do they dote on their liberal TV news sources but also Fox and anything else they consider to be conservative "poison" just to have something to complain about.

Who said anything about our military? I read Jane's. It's a British publication. Just because I'm aspie doesn't mean I'm stupid!

Sounds to me that Ablow is a third rate psychiatrist who couldn't cut it doing legitimate clinical work, so he whores himself to Fox, where he parrots their anti-LGBT bigotry and superficial puritanism in their right wing echo chamber.

She is smarter than most "educated people" who mindlessly repeat what others tell them. When confronted with "evolution is true" or "is the world round" the proper answer is "I don't know" for most people. However, "educated people" will often say, "yes", and be unable to explain why.

I had a college professor, who would challenge people like this. I once suggested that the Earth is in motion, and he challenged me in class to back up what I claimed to know. He asked me, "Can you prove it?" (i.e., are you just mindlessly spouting someone else's ideas or do you know what you are talking about?).

Many people are "educated fools", and so they would label this woman as dumb for not mindlessly saying she believes in evolution or believes the Earth is round.

Sidenote: We saw this in the thread about creationism in the video where the creationists went to a college campus and interviewed science students and staff who were convinced in evolution but couldn't provide explanation as to why it is true.
