WP is a helpful resource for autistics, outcasts and lonely people, whereas PPR often isn't.

PPR has many paranoid people on it and this thread is for them. I think I am borderline schizophrenic myself :D. With that in mind, what are your favourite conspiracy theories about the PPR?

many post for affirmation of their beliefs; not for inquiry

I think that you, and all of the other paranoids here, are all in cahoots to get me!

I voted "Some other thing".

PPR provides a venue for people to battle it out for supremacy of each of their particular points of view.

In other words, it's a huge, communal bucket for political, philosophic, and religious pissing contests.

I like debate, I like posting my thoughts and ideas, politics and current events are things that deeply interest me. You guys seem to have a lot more negative take on the whole thing.

The PPR probably does siphon off of some of the vitriol that would flow into other forums if it werent there. Though that is not why the forum was created. So the first comes closest to describing what the PPR does, but not why it was created.

I'll say "some other reason".

And it's nothing compared to debate sites full of gushy, emotional NT's with overwhelming chips on their shoulders. At least here we make some effort to speak English instead of "ugh!! ! I emotional!! ! You dumb cuz you not me!! !" Seriously, just take a look at one of those sites. And no offense atheists (you guys should be taken pretty seriously considering minds like Sartre, Descartes, Voltaire, and Russell), but holy crap are those atheist sites awful, lol.

So things can get frustrating here some times, but trust me guys you would feel a little like shooting yourself in the head if you saw the crap on some of these other sites. You would want to shoot yourself because it might just feel better than the headache you get reading that garbage. It's like a stupid series of troll comments on youtube but they're trying to look like adults by talking about big people subjects. I think we deserve some credit for not being that, however low of a standard that is, lol. Just type atheist debate site or some such into google (maybe just "religious debate site" so you can have fun reading what fundamentalists have to say, get ready for redneck physics) and you'll be scratching your head with me.

I think PPR is all right at times.

I learned about pre-Islamic coinage there.

It was more vitriolic a couple years ago.

Its calmed down since. The "Hating" forum has heated up. And I have never really spent time on non autistic sites - not enough to know what they are like compared to this.
