How should I become involved in local government?
I live in the States over here, and I have no qualifications for becoming involved in any capacity of local government that I want to build up. I believe that local-level politics are where democracy all begins. I don't have really super social skills, I have an odd voice, and I don't have any solid governing philosophy yet, but I want to help my community and even potentially someday, my state and country, though not likely. I want to build up these qualifications first. Despite all this, I still have an interest in reshaping my community. I know that the US is different from most other western democracies because of our federal system where all states and locales have their own specific needs and wants.
Your awesome buddy.
