With the fun that came with Target's small announcement that they're removing the words "boy" and "girl" from the toy and bedding aisles, came some trolls. One, Ask ForHelp, made headlines (even in Time Magazine) and pissed off Ben Palmer, comedian fans who claim Ask ForHelp stole the idea from Palmer (who runs Hope That Helps, a facebook page made specifically to troll, pretending to be customer service in order to annoy people).

However, I have known people to do this for a long time, and google keeps track of this, as does youtube. The internet never forgets.

And I realized that I apparently have a very strong opinion towards trolling and people claiming to own something that's been happening for years. Decades... Its bizarre to me that something so insignificant could become so big.

Call me obtuse but I don't see what Target has to do with the practice of Trollery.
But then again I only know of two kinds of trolls; the bridge kind and internet trolls.

I probably should have made the links more clear...
Mike Melgaard trolls Target's facebook as a fake service rep: http://time.com/3996746/man-target-facebook-troll/
Ben Palmer (https://www.facebook.com/benpalmercomedy) and fans get mad because "Palmer has been doing this for years!" (I could only find him going back to last year). They were yelling that Melgaard was a thief and that he needed to apologize for "stealing the idea." Even though Palmer cannot patent/copyright the idea because many other people have done it before him. They say the timing was just right (ya know, right after Target's big announcement) and claimed it's far too much of a coincidence, while others were yelling that they were just butthurt because Melgaard did it better...

This is Palmer's site, Hope That Helps (aka Customer Service) https://www.facebook.com/wehopethishelps?pnref=lhc

Of course trolling can't be owned. Real trolls own their victims, or even pwn them.

Now I get it! Trolls are trolling trolls for trolling, when the trolling trolls have been trolling for a long time.

Trolls must troll, ans it was only a matter of time before they began trolling each other.

It'd be most ironic if someone tried to enforce a copyright on the troll face.
