Its high time that we end this injustice!

Teaching algebra to American eighth graders.

Algebra was invented by the Arabs in the middle ages, and for Americans to use algebra is an insult to Arab culture, because its just one more example of "orientalism", and of cultural appropriation.

Its time to face up to the fact that for White Americans to use algebra is nothing less than racist!

I just can't contain how outraged I am that we have been making Arab culture into a carnival side show for centuries by this insensitive cultural appropriation of algebra for the classroom!

And while we are on the subject:Hindu Arabic numbers (those digits you use everyday: zero,1,2,3.4,5,...9) were invented in ancient India. And for White Americans to use those numbers is a racist insult to Asian Indians!

I stopped using those numbers years ago, and so should you. From now on only use the number system that is indigenous to White Europeans: Roman Numerals! It's the only politically correct way to count.

When you file your income tax this year with IRS do as I do and write down all of the monetary quantities on your 1040 form only in Roman Numerals.

And of course dont forget to sign the form, and to write your Social Security Number on the form (also in Roman Numerals). I guarantee that the IRS is down with this, and will not mind.

the ancient greeks were the first to use algebra, and most accountants/bankers/etc would go out of business without it.

Not sure whether it should be written X,XL (literally "10 40"), or whether it should be written MXL (for "one thousand and forty).

I will have to get back to you on that.

How dare you appropriate our Babylonian culture. Greeks piddling with geometric algebra when the Babylonians where working with algorithms inherent in their arithmetic.

If Algebra is banned, then calculators, protractors, rulers, and slide rules must also be banned as weapons of math instruction.

Algebra cannot plausibly be banned because it is simply the transposition of rearranging a mathematical formula in order to determine values while still being true, as a formulaic expression.

And society's retort if it was banned:
"Through this egghead Motherf***er up on the guillotine. Yeah how smart do you sound now?"
