Are there any activists who have an autism or Asperger's diagnosis. I am not just meaning activists FOR autism issues, but activists in all areas of politics. This would include for example, environmental or economic activists. In my 20 year history of being involved in politics, I have run into very few people with autism/Asperger's or other mental health issues that have been involved in politics.

I had a few OWS people in my autism group, but generally I'd agree, in person activism probably isn't comfortable for most autistic people.

i sign a lot of petitions and donate small amounts to campaigns and good governance groups such as public citizen. i have helped voters register in a public campaign. i don't do door to door or phone canvassing because that might involve persuasion, something i'm not confident in.

yeah , it seems activism is for the hyper-sociable, it makes me very stressed so i can hardly speak, in a group who wants just that and they all know each other and the goal seems not to help to make you pass
no i'm not an activist, i hate crowds but happened to go to some minor events,
then you have those professional activists who are at every gathering and on top of that rounds of photos are taken everytime and you'll be invited to participate in more picknicks and that stuff!
