Another load of crap manufactured during the Dark Ages.

I once went to an exorcism with ET and Elvis but it was broken up by a bunch of dudes in black suits.

I can't imagine why you would, but I wonder what would happen if you meditated and thought horrible, evil thoughts. Would you become absolutely horrible?

the institute of the excorcism is voluntary psychology torture and misuse of trust. it should be banned as a barbaric ritual that endangers the participating individual.

Is there any scientific rationale behind exorcisms or is it a religious hoax?

I've done a lot of exorcisms. Not like you saw on TV, though. I quietly bind the demons to silence and impotence before I quietly tell them to leave. The person might grimace, cough or yawn when it comes out but that's about it.

I started out just praying for people and watching God heal them. But some of them didn't get healed. So I experimented with quietly commanding any "evil influences" to leave. Some of them were immediately healed. So I added exorcism to my repertoire.

I gradually learned more about the demonic to be even more effective. After ten years of ministry like this, I'm one of Jacksonville's top exorcists -- while still praying for God to heal people.

I've got a bunch of exorcism prayers on my website, but you've got to be a Christian to have the authority to make them work. A lot of them are for casting out the gods of other religions. They aren't theory; I use them with clients.

See http://www.orderofsaintpatrick.org/

Don't listen to those jealous Humanists who can't do it.

Cool. Never thought of looking for demons inside people. I like to play with the loose ones myself. Wonder which are more fun.

Instead of "looking for demons behind every bush" or around a haunted house, I just command them to leave the property and poof! they're gone. However, that doesn't stop occultists from putting demons back in things. The Shamans and Buddhists love to put demons in the ground. Witches put demons in the ground, water, air, fire and the underground. They stay there permanently until a Christian comes along to get rid of them.

I have to deal with these people after cleaning up the property. It is simple to bind the demons on them and all their occult toys to leave them powerless for a while. Then I pray for them and bless them. That really jams them up to have God on their case.

It may be all those things but it makes for a good movie though :)

All those silly horror movies starring demons and demonized people would be over before you came back from the bathroom break, if they realistically portrayed Christians using their natural authority!

Buffy the Vampire Killer would be in the slammer for killing people who have a demon that causes a compulsion to drink blood. The demon would be gone and the human corpse would remain....

The Harry Potter series would have been one very thin book, if a Christian were introduced who wanted to help these people.
